Funk Shui is a line of one of a kind, hand crafted garments and accessories. All pieces are hand dyed, and lovingly created using the ancient technique of felting.

Felt is a non woven fabric formed when sheeps wool is subjected to heat, moisture and pressure or agitation.
Wool fibres are covered in tiny outer scales, which expand and open when they are exposed to heat and moisture. Soap, or an alkaline environment, helps the felting process by lubricating the fibres, and allowing them to slide easily over one another while the y are being agitated. This agitation causes them to become entangled. Wool fibres are made up of a protein called keratin, and the keratin in the fibres becomes chemically bound to the proteins in the other fibres, resulting in a permanent bond. This makes the felting process irreversible, when the felt is felted to a far enough state.
